Torn and confused, she seeks her humanity, accompanied by Kuro, her guide and only friend, out into the world, and deeper and deeper into discovering the mysteries of the human heart, not knowing whether good or evil awaits her at the end of her path.
Tanpopo Volume 1 is the first in a series of four hardcover albums collecting the personal work of celebrated illustrator and comics creator Camillia d'Errico. Each story in the series is inspired by a piece of classic literature from the world over. The chapters in this volume are reflective of Goethe's Faust, Samuel L. Coleridge's Rhyme of the Ancient mariner, and P'u sung-Ling's Strange Stories From a Chinese Studio. The result is a text that dances hand-in-hand with d'Errico's ethereal artwork; manga and poetry fused to create its own unique beauty.
